about

Volume 2 offers atmospheric, eerie undercurrents and the tapestry of raw, primal dance floor techno achieved through repetition, but also by creating an extra layer, a gateway to dimensions that few other artists explore.
Joshua Harrison’s “Soulsville” sets off alarms with cymbal crashes, interstellar pulses and tension-filled techno stabs that are fit for the darkest corners of Detroit. Keith Kemp takes us on a ride with “Vector Ride.” Kemp manages to take the tribal rhythms of his releases and morph them into a peak-time floor filler.

An altogether more cerebral Luke Hess & Seth Yender (as Fox N’ Hound) deliver “Adventure One,” guiding us on a dreamy journey through a haunted techno forest of zone. To round out the EP, label mastermind Brian Kage gives us “Essentials.” Kage builds a dark, yet optimistic atmosphere that is intensified by classic drum patterns and a timeless rhythmic vocal phrase.
